The Stems fastener
is specifically designed for plastic, rubber,
and other non-metals to be assembled to metal
or plastic bearing
plates. The unique washer assembled to the Stems
fastener is
conical and has a standoff column that bears
against the metal
tapping plate to support the clampload without
deforming or
cracking the material. The conical design also
absorbs torque
and helps to prevent stripping.
